About the Book
Laughing is a unique gift to human beings which is not bestowed at millions of other flora and fauna. The basis of humor comes out from the funny activities, oddities, shortcomings and behavioral dysfunctions and also frequently from desperation, violence and suffering. On the other hand, satire is a very powerful artistic form with a corrective purpose of human behavior. This book attempts to explore these elements in contemporary Indian English fiction on three selected novelists suited to the purpose.
