The main motive of preparing this book is to enable the students of B.A.M.S and the Post graduate students and PhD students of the Panchakarma stream to understand the depth and essence level they have to attain to have a complete knowledge of Theoretical and Practical aspect of the Panchakarma. The time has come when the Ayurveda field is blossoming completely to its glory and the most important contribution is and will be made by the Panchakarma Therapy. Since Panchakarma is a relative new stream of branch that has been detached from the main branch of Kayachikitsa around a decade ago and this has further facilitated the need and opportunities to explore in the deeper levels of Panchakarma therapies in terms of research and applications which was most advanced in the ancient era. Although good efforts are being carried out by the Panchakarma fraternity but still much is left to be done. Another reason to carry out this project was the negligence of Samhita based knowledge of Panchakarma subject in the undergraduate level syllabus which deprived the students to have a firm grasp of the subject. This book to an extent will help the students to understand the vastness of subject of Panchakarma and have a comparative knowledge of a particular topics. The Panchakarmatopics are so much scattered and understanding it completely by referring only one or two Samhita makes it more difficult. It is very essential that all the Samhita have to be considered in this respect to have a better understanding along with a rationale. The Mcq of this book will enable the student to self analyze his strength and weakness in terms of understanding the subject practically and theoretically. For helping the students in the introduction parts various relating textual hints are given which should be thoroughly gone through before testing the Mcq of the various chapters. The whole book comprises of ten units. The first unit comprises of the Mcq on Shodhana Karma followed by second units with two parts dedicated for Snehana Karma. The reason behind dividing this unit in two parts is the large number of questions which was difficult to be summarized in a single unit. The third unit contains the Mcq of Swedana Karma. The fourth unit is dedicated to Sansodhana Karma followed by units of Sansarjana Krama, Vamana Karma and Virechana Karma. The eighth and ninth unit both contains two parts each dedicated for Basti Karma and Nasya Karma respectively. The tenth unit is completely dedicated for Raktamokshana Karma. The total numbers of Mcq are around 2600 majorly focusing on theSamhita based knowledge. The content of the book is in accordance with the syllabus of both P.G and undergraduate level. This will help them in preparation of various competitive exams of P.G entrance, A.M.O level and Screening examinations of various teaching and super specialty posts also. In this book we have tried to summarize most of the aspect but as the flow of knowledge this types of the work is always unending. Always and every times it just feels that something is left or remaining but due to constant pressure from our students to provide them this book as early as possible we have to conclude our quest in peace for this edition of book and will definitely try for betterment and more elaboration of this work with the feedbacks and suggestion after this edition.
