Some Christian women in families face terror on two sides: In their historical culture lie the ill-treatment of women and girls due to inheritance by sons that leads to the dowry system, abortion of the female foetus and the denigration of the women across society.In their present lie the inroads of modern popular culture with the self-saving and selfishness that erode for females the justice God wants for all people. On both sides, there rests a tendency to keep women from the decisions that affect their own destiny, leaving them vulnerable to neglect and abuse in many areas of life-above all in the family.
