Australia-India Encounters: History, Literature, Culture maps the history of Australia-India encounters covering some old, pertinent and new, emerging issues. The book has essays on the history of encounters between Australian and Indian seafarers, India’s G20 presidency, Australian white and Aboriginal literatures, Indian-Australian diasporic literature, music and cricket. The essays suggest that Australia-India relationship has not been linear but spiral and that it will play a key-role in mediating the changing realities of the Indo-Pacific region. The book is edited by the poet-academic Angshuman Kar.
