Automobile Design is meant for B.Tech Automobile, Mechanical, AMIE, U.P.S.C. and other competitive examinations.The syllabus of various universities of courses has been covered. To illustrate the application of the theoreticalconcepts, a variety of solved examples is presented in the end of each chapter which is followed by some problemsfor practice. The design of the I.C. engine has been covered separately for gasoline (petrol) and diesel engines as bothengines have some specific requirements which has been elaborated in details. The book includes of two parts, Part Ideals with the design of mechanical components of automobile which is covered in 21 chapters. Part II consists of 5chapters which deal with the design of electrical components of automobile to the extent required for automobileand mechanical engineering students.
