The modern age is a witness to several advanced methods of treatment but still diseases like asthma, tuberculosis, rheumatism, diabetes, and high blood pressure, are difficult to be treated even now. The medicines of those diseases bring about risky side effects resulting in various complexities. In this state, the importance of Ayurvedic treatment, prevalent in India, becomes more relevant. For the same reason this indigenous method of treatment is widely received in Western countries. It is but natural to develop an interest to know about the science/philosophy of the Ayurvedic treatment. But the main source of the science/philosophy of Ayurveda is in Sanskrit language and such texts are aphoristic in nature. Hence it is difficult for the common people to gain the knowledge of Ayurveda. It was therefore necessary to present the contents of Ayurvedic Sanskrit texts in simple and lucid language (Hindi). This book is expected to fill this gap and reach a wider audience. This book consists of 13 chapters wherein an attempt has been made to present the entire essence of the tradition of Ayurveda. It is specifically beneficial to the students of Ayurveda and also caters to the interest of general readers.
