About the Book
The collection of critical essays (Bridges across the Nation: The Vitality of Indian Literatures in Translation) are remarkably written and explored in different regional literatures in translation. They include Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and etc. With the focus basically on translated Indian texts, the critics have worked on different thematic concerns as they exist in the texts. The range of criticism is highly appreciative of themes and settings that really matter a lot in the collection. If diversity becomes a prominent hold, translations in Indian literatures represent one of unified elegance that characterizes the soul of all that emanates fresh breeze into the creative writings by Indians across the country. They connect and reconnect with each other and signify the all - pervasive element of translation in literature of different rainbows. It is singularly unique in more than one aspect and it is finely done in the end. The volume leaves the spirit of unity in literary diversity.
