In Chandigarh and Le Corbusier Remi Papillaut is studying in detail the conception of the city to find out the link between the buildings as built and the archives of the Le Corbusier Foundation. Through detail yet accessible text and extraordinary images the author aims to make the inhabitants of Chandigarh, as well as its leaders aware of the city’s design so it can be used to help to preserve it. About the Author: Remi Papillault is an architect from Paris-Belleville School of Architecture with specialization on heritage building, PhD on urbanism from Paris Institute of Urbanism, PhD in theories of town planning from EHESS Paris. Director of the architecture agency AARP since 1992. As an HDR professor at the École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Toulouse, he supervises theses in the “Heritage, theories and devices” axis. As a researcher, he has published research and articles focusing on the heritage between city and architecture, around the projects of Jai Singh in Jaipur, Léon Jaussely for Barcelona and Candilis, Josic and Woods for Toulouse le Mirail.
