About the Book
About the Book The book is an outcome of an intensive filtration of the arbitration in National Seminar on Changing Perspectives of Education in India held at the beginning of the year 2019. Never in history of teacher education in India, there was a decade as happening as the present one. From policy to curriculum, from structure of the course to the minimum qualification of the teachers, everything has been stirred with the hope to come up with something better than before. In the backdrop, the applications of computer and online learning have brought a systematic challenge to the centuries tested teaching-learning practices. The globalisation of the world has put all the human resource managers on their toes to compete with each other at international level to create new levels and ranges of competencies to meet the challenges and to surge ahead in throat-cutting competition. It is at this juncture that we are presenting this book, with glimpses on the various emerging practices and perspectives of education. The areas touched in the book are ICT and online education, blended learning, learner centric Science education, ethical perspective in education, tribal education, education for sustainable development, humanising education, ecological education, art education, and nature of scientific knowledge in our time. We hope this will be an impetus to the research community for further research.
