About the Book
The experience of the Great East Japan Earthquake 2011 to realise community relocation with human rights and ethics around the world. The planned relocation of a community has a powerful character in society in itself. Throughout the history of civilization, for example, we have forced ethnic minorities and indigenous people to relocate, ignoring human rights and culture. One such eminent example is the story of the Ainu people of Hokkaido, Japan. Even today, repressive relocations that restrict human rights can take place, depending on the different national regimes and principles/ political philosophies (like socialism, communism, and capitalism). In response to planned relocations, which are rather inevitable, our book aims to propose measures to carry out projects that can be executed in a democratic world, by upholding the rights of each individual and respecting the social life of the community.
