He was born and brought up in a Pentecostal, Assemblies of God family from Central Kerala. He served as the Principal of Bethany Bible College, Trivandrum for seven years. Apart from that he was the founder director of Bethany Institute of Theology and the editor of Bethany Journal of Theology. Presently he is serving as the Director of Counselling Department of the Assemblies of God Malayalam District Council and the Director of P G Studies of Bethel Bible College, Punalur. He holds Post graduate degrees in English Literature, Psychology and Counselling. He took his PhD from St. Peter's Pontifical Institute, Bangalore. He has authored a book titled "The Spirituality of Marriage" and published numerous articles in various International and National Journals. Having married to Mrs. Bless Santhosh John, they are blessed with two sons, Saju John and Blesson John.
