Revolving around two friends John and Amit, the story highlights the hypocrisies existing in Indian culture and their worthlessness. Fighting the resistance of parents and neighborhood, their friendship flourishes from childhood to youth witnessing the paradoxes in society around them. On many occasions, it raises questions on the so called moral values, an average Indian is proud of & their very necessity in the continuously evolving culture and touches the forces responsible for this evolution. The irony is at peak when an Indian boy educated in England divorces his wife after bringing her all the way to India. The struggle of foreigner bride, against the local systems to bring up her child singlehandedly forces one to rethink about so called high moral values, Indian culture characterizes in. The story knits all issues around the characters beautifully, weighs them in social conditions prevailing and traces transitions occurring, which are against the age old paradigms.
