University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) organized two days international online conference on Covid-19: Emergence and Resurgence of Communicable Diseases from Social Sciences Perspectives during 21-22 July, 2020. The total number of participants’ registration was 814 and 167 social scientists submitted their papers and 150 participants presented their papers in the conference. The present book is an outcome of this international online conference. The papers highlight on different dimensions of the problems associated with Covid-19 pandemic ranging from social exclusion, right to privacy in digital era to vulnerabilities of psychological distress, migration, education and economic dimensions. The authors represent different institutions of excellence. This book is an attempt towards understanding the present pandemic differently in many ways unlike previous pandemics.
