The discourse on India's relations with BRICS, SCO, Indo-Pacific through the prism of foreign policy falls flat if one accepts the fact that the concept of delimiting territory of Asia into regions is an offshoot of following Western scholarship and Orientations. The drive to establish a cultural concept between the regions is perhaps a testimony to the fact that there is an attempt to free oneself from the regional stereotypes. In fact India has a unique opportunity to shape the emerging global order from, "Look East Policy to Act East Policy." Sometime, back the US had warned India not to go forward with S 400 air defence system deal with Russia and threatened sanctions. India did go ahead with the deal and US later stated that if it (here Russia) helps their allies (here India) to strengthen their defence capabilities, they can. US- strong sanction against Iran in this context India's Ministry issued a statement that India will continue the oil trade with Iran. This growing influence of India needs to be analyzed academically.
