The book addresses the issues and challenges faced by disabled students, especially visually impaired at higher education through e-learning. No doubt e-learning has become a blessing for visually impaired students but still it is plagued with simple issues of availability of books and reading material in all formats, navigation of e-text, description of pictures and images, good screen readers for Hindi and other regional languages, lack of knowledge or proper training, affordability of original software etc. To overcome the above mentioned challenges it is recommended to provide proper training to disabled students at all levels of education; strictly adhering to international norms while designing websites or e-learning systems; creation of a 24 hours helpline to address their queries and improvement in technology etc. Further it is suggested that E Pub is the most user friendly format which overcomes the problem of navigation. However, it is not very popular with persons of disability.
