Environmental pollution is now recognised as a serious global problem. An effective environmental administration at global, regional, national and local level has become the most urgent need of the hour to save all living creatures and make the earth a live able place without further degrading our environment. The book, Environmental Administration: Concepts, Issue and Challenges, is a collective venture which depended on the contributions of several scholars who are actively engaged with academic profession in different institutes of higher education in India. The book has three parts. The first part deals with concepts, issues and challenges associated with environmental administration. The second part of the book contains articles that have dealt with pressing environmental issues in the North East India with special attention of Tripura. The third part contains articles which streamline some mechanisms to response to the environmental issues as explained in the second part. The book is expected to play an important role in understanding about our environment and environmental threats, in environmental policy making and evaluation and help in mitigating environmental problems in the Northeast India, more particularly in Tripura.
