Archaeological sites and monuments are places of historical and cultural significance and symbols of national and ethnic identity. These remnants of past offer new opportunities in the social, political, and economic developments. The goal of this work is to present and justify the need to study, research, take measures for promotion, Preservation, and conservation of all sorts of Archaeological Heritage in Kashmir. Archaeological Heritage Management in Kashmir is the need of hour in response to the many threats these archaeological resources are going through. This book highlights the various Issues and problems and try to aware the people at various levels about the significance of archaeological heritage, measures to mitigate the loss through the development and implementation of policy and legislation, conduct survey, documentation, collection and management of data; the protection and/or salvage of archaeological resources in the face of modern development and illicit trafficking; and the education and training of professionals and the public.
