About the Book
This book sheds light on many of the constantly ignored, forgotten and disregarded aspects of language, hermeneutic principles and praxis. The book explores the ontological relationship amongst metaphor, time, and literary text. The author has attempted to create a framework of literary hermeneutics by using the conceptual framework of those ideas as given by Paul Ricoeur. It shows how hermeneutics gets freed from the capture of the sacred scriptures to the secular scripture called literature. The book exposes the fashionable none/Sense of THEORY— especially the hypocrisy of theory in English Departments and many other Departments of Humanities.
