This book is a revised and enlarged version of the author’s most pioneering contribution to Indian history, titled Historical Method in relation to Problems of South Indian History, published by the University of Madras. The revision was undertaken by the author to include and expand upon a consideration of the whole ground of Indian History and to meet the specific requirements of the syllabus in the subject prescribed for M.A. in Indology and Indian History.
