He has did his Ph.D. in Knowledge Organization from Jadavpur University. He has obtained gold medals both in Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Library and Information Science. He has also done Masters' in English with first class from University of Calcutta. He has published several articles in refereed journals. He has written three books. His first book is an anthology of poems named The Chorus of the Psyche. His second book is on Webometrics named Application of Webometrics on Modern Information Research and his third book is entitled Children in Dewey Decimal Classification which is on Knowledge Organization. His areas of interests are Knowledge Organization, Human Resource Management and Webometrics. Arindam Sarkar is working as Librarian of Indian Institute of Liver and Digestive Sciences (A Unit of Liver Foundation, WB), Sonarpur, Kolkata-700150. After doing his B.Sc. (Hons.) from University of Calcutta and MLIS (Digital Library) in 2017, securing first class first position from Jadavpur University, he is currently a research scholar at the Department of Library and Information Science, Jadavpur University and his area of research is Knowledge Organization, though he has great interest in scientometrics, bibliometrics, and webometrics. He has published many articles in national and international journals, and conference and seminar proceedings.
