With the knowing of Importance of Knowledge Society in today’s India, there comes from it a new approach of the world we live in that allows us to understand the need for a paradigm change in education, as a consequence of social, economic, scientific, cultural and political shifts. We can anticipate an education based on technology, on promoting partnership and on accepting differences from the perspective of understanding common mission. Keeping in mind the need for networking and group functioning in the key areas of Higher Education like Research, Consultancy, Publication of books and journals, Project Management, Resource Mobilization, Faculty Development and Training and Mentoring, the major themes of the conference included the Role of Education in knowledge-based societywith reference to Integration Management,Scope Management, Time Management, Cost Management, Quality Management, Human Resource Management, Communications Management, Risk Management, Procurement Management etc. It also Focussed on the role of technology for sustainable development and the social theories of a knowledge society relating Cultural diversity, Equal access to education, Universal access to information (in the public domain), and Freedom of expression Keeping in mind the above expertise areas the conference was adorned by the presence of eminent Dr John Robert Clammer [Jindal School of Liberal Arts and Humanities] and Dr Romar Correa [University of Mumbai] As proposed the conference aimed at not only discussing but also to churn out some important data, facts, analysis, and equations which has the potential to make some important policy changes at macro levels. The conference was organised by The Bhopal School of Social Sciences with Grand Academic Portal [GAP] as its academic partner on 2 March 2019.
