This work has been divided in to 10 chapters. Chapter 1 deals with the activities of the Hada family in Maharashtra and development of their relations with the Maharashtrian people and their leader. Chapter II describes the carrier of Ram Singh Hada in Maharashtra and his death in civil war. It also describes the divide in Hada family due to imperial party politics. Third chapter depict the Maratha entry in Kota under the leadership of the Peshwa Bajirao I Forth. Maratha rising in Rajasthan and the assistance provided by Kota to the Maratha Chiefs to suppress it. It also describes the rise of Raj Rana Zalim Singh. Sixth chapters Zalim Singh's assistance in the rebellian of Bahirji Takpir, son-in- law of Mahadaji Scindhia and in Anglo Maratha war. It also describes the activities of Zalim Singh under the supremacy of Mahadaji Scindhia. Seventh Chapter provide a picture of a seasoned diplomat, that was Zalim Singh in the Maratha civil war, Anglo Maratha war and Pindari troubles. Eighth chapter took at the Kota of Eighteenth century in economic perspective. Ninth Chapter provide the picture of social relation between Hada and Maratha society. The last chapter discusses the sources consulted in the work. About the Author Dr. Prabhakar Gadre, D.Litt, an authority of the Maratha History with speciality of the Nagpur State, has authored many books on the various aspect of the Nagpur history. Then he under took the herculean job of collecting, editing and publishing source material of many languages in 18 volumes. So far he has been successful in publishing ten volume throwing valuable light on the many aspect of the Nagpur State, including political correspondence, provincial studies, revenue reports and religious centers for the help of future generations.
