About the Book

Law’ and ‘crime’ are common terms in contemporary modern judiciary. They are close to each other but disassociates from each other in terms of wider meanings and connotations. While crime is the violation of prescribe social and statutory norms, rules that disturbs societal balance; law is just opposite as social control mechanism, guiding and prescribe rules, infrastructure framed by a state or country deriving sources from the Constitution. In criminal offences, states are always being a party; civil wrongs involve individual or parties. In Indian context, most of the criminal offences are dealt with the section of Indian Penal Code (IPC), specific legislations and procedures followed under Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC). Similarly, civil wrongs are dealt with the provisions under specific acts and civil procedure code (CPC). With the advent of time, new laws are coming up as per requirement of the society. Common masses possess little knowledge about these laws and legislation. In this regard, the published books on diverse fields or areas of laws and crime help us to understand various legal provisions and remedies.
