The edited volume is an attempt to kaleidoscope an array of trends and responses, that came from both the state and the people, in the wake of pandemic outbreaks interspersed across the human timeline, in both global and Indian context. Travelling back in time to study similar eruptions not only assuages the fear of the unknown but also bears testimony to the indomitable human will that has overcome such threats in the past and will continue to do so in the present as well. It is with the aforestated objective that the anthology has been compiled and would hopefully add to the academic repertoire on the subject.
