Majnu ka Tilla, I knew I had finally found the photographic language to tell an authentic story of the Tibetan refugees in exile. The photographs to intimately express the lives of the persons. At other times, a person who could not write would speak in Tibetan and Norsang would translate their words and write them down in the diary. Onced in a while, a son or daughter or friend acted as translator and scribe for a parent who was illiterate.
