Although expatriate Indian writers have been routinely travelling literally or/and figuratively -- to the country of their origin on their own, in a manner of speaking, to find materials for their work, the inspiration for the stories in this collection comes from the Indian government's invitation Make in India to investors abroad to come to India to manufacture goods and conduct business. The author joins the rest of the makers from abroad with his mélange of tales Make in India and Other Short Stories. The characters and setting of the stories shift and change and stretch to the very limits of the universe in accordance with the long Indian cultural heritage. Like the setting, themes and style move back and forth like the hands of a pendulum from life to politics, from home to countries abroad, from earth to outer planets, from human world to animal world, from short stories to flash fiction, from realistic fiction to fantasy, from flash fiction to children's stories and fairytales, --beginning with the noisy world of politics to the world of peace and joy of children. The individual stories may stand separately, but they can be seen caught in what may be called a Quantum Entanglement like seven notes of Indian classical music Shadja, Rishabha, Gandhara, Madhyama, Panchma, Dhaivata, and Nishada.
