Manipur is now passing through very critical times. When I say this, I mean it Socially, Economically and Politically. All these criticality touches upon Behavioural, Ethical and Interethnic dimensions of the socio-politico scenario of Manipur. I am working for a commentary on the contemporary scenario. But I want my exercise to be one where I continuously interact with the people and society of Manipur. In other words, I want to ensure that any reader of any of my essays is fully aware of how and in what framework I look at the sociopolitico- economic issues of Manipur. It is in this perspective that some of my earlier essays are being brought together in this volume such that, when the commentary on the contemporary scenario comes out, the articulations are appreciated.
