This volume brings together a collection of chapters that relook at the present socio-political situation in Kerala from diverse angles. Apart from the political configurations and coalitions that Kerala is forging on the political front there are other relevant social issues that deserve attention in the study of modern Kerala society. Sooryamoorthy is Professor of Sociology at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa and is also a Research Fellow at the DSI-NRF Centre of Excellence in STI Policy, Stellenbosch University, South Africa.
