He has also worked as Seed Inspector, Senior Surveillance Inspector and SRF in Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur. He received his M.Sc (Ag.) degree in 2008 from Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur (C.G.). He has qualified JRF (Agronomy) and National Eligibility Test (ASRB, ICAR). He has published seven books and many research papers and technical articles. He has vast experience of teaching of under-graduate programme, research and extension activities. He has participated/delivered lectures at various National and International Conferences/Symposium etc. Dr U. D. Chavan obtained his M.Sc. (Ag) Biochemistry from Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri. He received Ph.D. degree in Food Science from Memorial University of Newfoundland St. John’s, Canada. He worked as Senior Research Assistant in the Department of Biochemistry and Food Science Technology at Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri from 1988 to 2000. He received D.Sc. degree in 2006 from USA. He worked as an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry at Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth Rahuri. Now, he is working as a Professor in the Department of Food Science and Technology, Senior Cereal Food Technologist in Sorghum Improvement Project and Foreign Student Advisor at Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri, Dist, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, India.
