The book focuses on the role of RRBs since their inception in rural development and evaluates their role in recent times at the changing paradigm of the Indian rural economy. It highlights the recent problems of RRBs and also provides some suggestions for improvement of their functions for rural development. The success of rural credit in India largely depends on their financial strength.
