The present book ‘Reservoir Ecology’ contains present status of fisheries and limnology of Bhavthana reservoir in Maharashtra as well as it reviews the existing literature on fisheries and limnology of Indian reservoirs. The book will serve as a baseline for any future studies as it will allow fisheries specialists and administrators to evaluate the impacts of future culture enhancements on reservoir fisheries production and yields. The study may also serve as an example for similar studies in the region, either planned or already in preparation. With its application oriented and interdisciplinary approach, the book would be immensely useful to students, teachers, researchers, scientists, policy makers, environmental lawyers and others interested in aquatic ecology.
