The Present Book entitled "Text book of Rasashastra" has covered the whole syllabus of Rasa Shastra subject being tought in the second year of Ayurvedacharya (BAMS). Various classical as well as text book and experience gained by Author till date are key factors in writing this book. Various instrument, Musha, Puta, Koshti etc. are explained with the help of figure. Maharasa Uparasa etc. are summarized at the end of chapter in table form so that students can memorize it easily. Various method of shodhana and marana are given by different classics. Here in this book most common method as well as the method given by Ayurvedic Formulary of India is described. Modern description like Minerological/Metallic identification is given according to AFI. GMP has been described as per the drugs and cosmetics rule. At the end of book list of Government drug testing lab as well as pharmacy situated at various states of India also given. There is collection of sample question paper that will help the students for examination. About the Author Dr. Ankit Kumar Gupta born at Ayodhya district of Uttar Pradesh State. He has completed his under graduation from RishikulState Ayurvedic Post Graduate College, Haridwar, Uttarakhand. He has completed his post graduation from I.P.G.T. & R.A. now known as I.T.R.A. Gujarat Ayurveda University Jamnagar. During the studying period of M.D. he has won Gold Medal in first and final year. Dr. Gupta has received first place in the merit list of lecturer, Rasa Shastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana in 2009 as per recuritment of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, Prayagraj (U.P.). He has started his Government service in 2009 from Government Ayurvedic College, Attara, Banda, (U.P.) on the post of lecturer in the Department of Rasa Shashtra and Bhaishajya Kalpana. Here he has also supervised the manufacturing of medicine in the pharmacy attached to the department for a period of nine year. At the present time he is working on the post of Reader in the P.G. Department of Rasa Shastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana, Government Ayurvedic College, Varanasi. Till now he is guiding two P G scholars as well as co-guide of seven P.G. scholars. He has published 20 articles in various reputed National and International Journals. He has presented papers in various seminars. He has published two books namely Ayurvediya Bhaishajya Kalpana Vigyan and Rasashastra Vigyan by Chaukhambha Publications, New Delhi. Dr. Vinay R Kadibagil has completed graduation from Ayurveda Mahavidhyalaya, Hubli in 2001.He has completed post-graduation and PhD in Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana from BLDE'S AVS Ayurveda Mahavidhyalaya, Vijayapur, Certificate in yoga science (CYS) from Karnataka University Dharwad, Karnataka. He is recognized PG and PhD guide at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka and presently working as professor at Department of Rasashastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana, SDM College Of Ayurveda & Hospital, Hassan. He has 17 years of UG and PG teaching experience. He has presented many papers and served as resource person in National and international seminars. He has published more than 100 articles in international journal. He has completed 3 research projects and 3 research projects in hand. He is reviewer and editorial member for reputed journals.
