About the Book

An innovative method for weight loss based on thermodynamics. A classical theory, applied to our energy needs, which identifies in the basal metabolism the best ally of our well-being. In the perfect diet physical effort is not essential, especially if it is understood only as a calorie consumption: what is activated, however, is the basal metabolism which, like a boiler, burns all the excess calories, causing a natural weight loss. The book was designed to provide the reader, on the one hand, with the basics that will allow him to understand how an ideal diet should be structured, on the other, to provide it with a detailed guide so that, in daily life, it can combine quantitatively and qualitatively correct, the various groups of foods. About the Authors: SALVATORE BAIAMONTE lives in Sicily (Italy) where he works both as a biologist and lawyer. He has been involved in food safety as a consultant for various food companies, as well as managing his own scientific laboratory for the analysis of water and foods. A the same time he is a nutritionist and author of many books on human nutrition, in which he explains his own dietary method. When he is not wearing his white coat, Dr. Baiamonte puts on the black gown with extreme ease to run in court and devote himself to criminal cases, which continue to thrill him. ALMA GRANDIN, journalist and writer, had her first education in the medical-scientific field. She graduated at the University of Milan with a first university degree in Obstetrics and then in Communication Sciences. Professional journalist since 1994, after collaborating with important newspapers, now she works as head of service at the Internet editorial staff of TG1, the most watched TV news in Italy.
