This book, containing the paper read by Dr. J. C. Burnett before the British Homoeopathic Congress, 1880, seeks to provide important information on the subject of great maternal anxiety. It offers homeopathic and nutritional treatment to mothers to prevent congenital malformations and physical defects during pregnancy, so that the coming generations can be saved from defects and diseases. It argues that the most interesting instance of preventive medicine is where medicine is given to prevent congenital malformations. It shows that what are supposed to be 'marks' are due simply to lack of proper nutrition.
