The present research work The Theme of Protest in Taslima Nasreen’s Fiction is rare of its kind, because the ban on her has prevented Taslima Nasreen to acquire the kind of fame both Salman Rushdie and Arundhati Roy have got in the Asian subcontinent. My book has four chapters on South Asian Protest Literature, Nasreen’s novels Shame (Lajja) and French Lover and her autobiography No Country for Women.Nasreen is a critique of Asian life, particularly Islamic life. She is a rare feminist.
