The book contains one hundred and eighty one very short prose pieces of less than one page in length, which the author has preferred to call 'Miscellany' for lack of a better or more appropriate literary term. These are condensed pieces of thoughts, and so fall naturally in the genre of prose. But they are not strictly essays inasmuch as they do not elaborate in detail the fundamental thought they primarily deal with. One advantage of this kind of text is that it can be understood and enjoyed by common men; I mean the persons totally ignorant of literary texts-- poetry, prose and epic by the great masters. The reader need not be familiar with the figurative devices used commonly by the poets. These prose pieces cover many aspects of human life in this world and sum up the opinion of the author about them. Each miscellany deals with a single theme in an intense manner and is short in length like a poem. The themes are very common such as love, life, death, marriage, human relations, society, moral values, education, friendship, evil, good, etc. Therefore, the readers of all age, social, and economic groups will find them interesting and worth reading.
