China and India are the homes to two of the great ancient civilizations with increasing significance and ramifications for the future world. Over the past few decades the two fastest growing economic giants have all along maintained vibrant trade and economic links. Besides, the frequent political engagement and pragmatic strategies have engaged both sides in exploring various dimensions of their developments in myriad fields of science and technology, national security, language, literature, culture and soft power etc. The book has several articles reflecting the views of Indian scholars on the above areas of Chinese studies to have better understanding on how China is being perceived by new India.
