University Law in India' is a comprehensive book covering all the legal aspects of various types of Universities and other institutions of higher education sector of the country. It contains 42 chapters and 27 appendices. Certain scanned decisions/orders of the Visitor/Chancellor of the State Universities of Uttar Pradesh have been given in various appendices in the last part of the book to enlighten the readers of the standard practices and procedures adopted at the Raj Bhavan in taking decisions by the Visitor/Chancellor in the matters of legal disputes referred to him by the litigants for his decision. These decisions/orders of the Visitor/Chancellor not only contain the claims and counter-claims made by the contesting parties but also the methodology adopted at the Visitor's/Chancellors Secretariat in identifying die issues involved for decision and the application of law for taking the decisions.
