Valour & Wisdom makes an effort to project the need to preserve institutions, which have kept alive the values, and tradition, which the founders of our national struggle nursed. Stout defence of the country being one of them. So far the exploits of the alumni of Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun have remained confined to their respective regimental history or part of the military folklore. This volume has made the rare attempt of putting on record the contributions of the school's alumni, and in turn the school itself, towards nation-building. This book is an attempt to set right the historical perspective, analyse qualities which made the school alumni leaders extraordinaire and visionaries in their own right. This effort would probably aid those who seek to learn from the lessons of the past for a better future.
